A teaser visual for the Kindergarten Wars TV anime is out. It was also announced that Shinsuke Gomi (Secrets of the Silent Witch Episode 2 director et al.) is directing at Sunrise, with character designs from Junko Yamanaka (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life).
Yo Chiba‘s Kindergarten Wars (Yochien Wars) manga debuted in 2022 on Shonen Jump+ and has 15 volumes as of August 2025. Yen Press describes the synopsis as such:
Rita is Convict 999, a former legendary assassin who now works at a kindergarten for the children of world leaders. Her job is to protect the schoolchildren from the clutches of would-be assassins sent after them! But even with her overwhelming strength, Rita has a weakness — she’s head-over-heels for good-looking men!
The manga received an honourable mention at the 3rd LINE Manga Taisho.
