The official Twitter/X account of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten released a new visual last weekend, celebrating the birthday of the series’ main heroine, Mahiru Shiina, on December 6, 2025. Season two is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in April 2026.

Chihiro Kumano (Unnamed Memory assistant director, director of the upcoming The Kept Man of the Princess Knight) is the new director for the upcoming second season. The previous season’s director was Kenichi Imaizumi (Kingdom Season 3 to 5 and After School Dice Club director), but sometime before the show premiered, the credits changed to list Lihua Wang as director and Imaizumi as supervisor.
Other staff for season two include Keiichiro Ochi as series composer, Takayuki Noguchi as character designer, and N-Nei Kurahashi as sub-character designer. Project No.9 is handling the animation production again.

The romantic comedy light novel series is written by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanekoto, starting from the second volume onwards. It was first published on June 15, 2019 under SB Creative’s GA Bunko imprint. Eleven physical volumes and three short story collections have been released as of September 2025, with a 12th volume expected to be published in Japan on March 14, 2026. Yen Press releases the light novel series in English under its Yen On imprint.
For the light novel’s first volume, current illustrator Hanekoto only drew the cover art while Hazano Watake worked on the rest of the illustrations.
A manga adaptation by Wan Shibata was launched in Square Enix’s Manga UP! app and website on January 6, 2022. Six tankobon volumes have been released as of October 2025. Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga for English release.

The first season of The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten aired from January 2023 to March 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the first season in select countries and territories worldwide. It describes the main premise as:
