The Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express CG anime will be released in Japanese theaters starting February 6, 2026. This release, titled Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express — Kakuekiteisha Gekijo Iki (Ginga Tokyuu Milky☆Subway Kakuekiteisha Gekijo Iki), will include new scenes.

Milky☆Subway: The Galactic Limited Express premiered in July on YouTube and has 12 episodes, with dubbing and subtitles for multiple languages including English. It is the follow-up to director Yohei Kameyama‘s 2022 short and graduation project Milky☆Highway. Kameyama also handled the script, character designs, sound, and production.

Here’s the synopsis:

Arrested for reckless space driving, super human Chiharu and cyborg Makina are sentenced to clean the Milky☆Subway—an old interplanetary train. Easy enough, right? Wrong. When the train suddenly takes off, they are thrown into a high-speed space-train spectacle packed with chaos, no plans, and zero strategy. Just pure momentum!
