The Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers TV anime has received a main trailer and main visual, along with the announcement of a January 6 premiere date in Japan.

It was also revealed that the show will have two split cours.

Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers is a sequel to the 1988-1999 series Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers/Ronin Warriors. The premise has five young samurai coming to humanity’s aid when demons invade after the unravelling of a seal on their dimension.

The original anime previously inspired three OVAs, as well as non-anime media like manga and novels. Prime Video describes the synopsis as such:

After a thousand years of exile, Talpa, ruler of the Netherworld, returns to claim the Earth as his own. The only thing that can stop him and his minions are five young men and their mystical suits of armor.
