Less than two months into its split cour run, the Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle TV anime has been hit with a delay.

The next episode, Episode 6, will be skipping not just its originally planned November 11 release in Japan but the entirety of the month, and will premiere on December 2. Filling up the series’ slots for the rest of November will be Wooser’s Hand-to-Mouth Life.

Additionally, the new release dates for Episodes 11 to 13 are currently undetermined and will be announced later.

“Production circumstances” are the official reason for the delay.

Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle is an adaptation of the light novel series written by Hiromu and illustrated by raemz, and is so far about a popular boy who helps people and is more than his projected persona suggests. Yen Press describes the books’ starting premise as such:

Being popular isn’t easy. It’s hard to beat Saku Chitose. The most popular kid in his high school? Check. An ironclad reputation that can weather even vicious online attacks? Check. A group of friends as attractive on the outside as they are inside? Check. But when a teacher asks for his help bringing back a student who has been shut away in his room for months, Saku’s perfect world will never be the same. What is this, some kind of normie harem story…?

The light novel series, part of Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko label, began in 2019 and has nine main volumes as of August 2024. There is a manga adaptation published by Square Enix.

Crunchyroll, the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel, and Bilibili are streaming the anime, which premiered in Japan on October 7.
