Japanese music artist tuki. recently released an animated official music video for “Song of Life” (“Jinsei Sanka”), the theme song of the movie Orokamono no Mibun.

Its director is animator AtenaHena, who brought over the “painted style” that was previously utilized in their 2024 thesis film Runaways. The video follows a solitary girl in the ruins of a city, her struggle to survive being paralleled by the sprouts seeded by her.

This project marks the music video director debut of AtenaHena, who has contributed to anime productions like Girls’ Frontline‘s opening animation, Onimai: I’m Now Your Sister (Episode 7 eyecatch artist), and A Couple of Cuckoos

Jay Tan produced it and is also part of the rough and clean animaton credits.

“Song of Life” became available for streaming and download on the date of the music video’s release, October 22 JST.
