The latest episode visual for the currently airing third season of SPY x FAMILY has been released, showcasing a brooding Loid Forger during his early years. The anime’s 40th episode overall (third episode in season three) aired in Japan on October 18, 2025, as part of the ongoing “Loid Forger: Past Arc.” The third season debuted on October 4, 2025.
Last week, another episode visual was also previously released for the show’s 39th episode.
The returning staff for the third season include Yukiko Imai (storyboard artist and director for Season 1 Episode 8 and 20, Season 2 Episode 2) as director, Rino Yamazaki (The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity) as series screenwriter, and Kazuaki Shimada as character designer. WIT Studio and CloverWorks are in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:

The first season of SPY x FAMILY premiered in April 2022 and aired for two split cours, while the second season premiered in October 2023 and ran for one cour. An anime film titled SPY X FAMILY: Code: White was released in late 2023. Crunchyroll is streaming season three as it had for the previous two seasons.
The anime is based on the spy action comedy manga by Tatsuya Endo, which began serialization on Shonen Jump+ on March 25, 2019. Sixteen tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of October 2025.
