Two more new voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2026.
The new cast members include Toshiki Masuda as Duke and Minami Tanaka as Seek.
They join a previously announced voice cast that stars:
- • Kohei Amasaki as Yoki
- • Kana Hanazawa as Cecilia
- • Ryohei Kimura as Yuga
- • Yuko Natsuyoshi as Mikana
Yasutaka Yamamoto (Actually, I Am director) is serving as chief director for the anime, with Tomonori Mine (Isekai Onsen Paradise) as director, Yukie Sugawara (Grandpa and Grandma Turn Young Again) as series screenwriter, and Mina Osawa (I Have a Crush at Work) as character designer. Gekkou is handling the animation production.
The series started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel by Suisei in 2013. It was then published as a light novel series, with illustrations from La-na, by Futabasha’s Monster Bunko imprint from October 30, 2014 to August 29, 2015. Three total volumes were published in Japan. La-na is also credited as the anime’s original character designer.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Kairi in January 2021.

Reincarnated as a mid-tier demon, Youki had one job: Crush the hero’s party. Then he saw the party’s priestess, Cecilia, and fell for her hard. Now this lovestruck demon vows to confess his feelings, even if it means betraying the Demon King. Will love bloom between these two sworn enemies?
