The upcoming You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! (Osananajimi to wa Rabukome ni Naranai) TV anime has now received its sixth teaser visual. This one features the tomboyish Haru Hinata, who is voiced by Yuki Yamamoto.
We also have a premiere date update: the anime’s coming in January 2026.
The Tezuka Productions-produced You Can’t Be In a Rom-Com with Your Childhood Friends! is based on the childhood friend-themed romantic comedy manga by Shinya Misu. The initial premise sees teenage protagonist Eyu grappling with his attraction towards two of his childhood friends.
The manga began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket in 2022 and has 17 volumes as of September 2025. Volume 18 is coming on November 7 JST.
Crunchyroll has picked up the anime for streaming (Asia excluded) and will premiere it at New York Comic Con on October 12.
