The May I Ask for One Final Thing? TV anime has debuted, and both its opening and ending animations have been uploaded in creditless form to the Aniplex YouTube channel.
The one we’re highlighting is the ending, which features eye-catching drawings, depictions of the conniving Terenezza Hopkins in various fairy tale character costumes, and dazzling kaleidoscopes.
Credited for the ending animation’s storyboards and unit direction is Rika Ota (Phantom in the Twilight opening), who used to be at Kyoto Animation. The animation is set to the song “Inferior” by Shiyui.
May I Ask for One Final Thing? (Saigo ni Hitotsu dake Onegai shitemo Yoroshii deshouka) is based on the light novel series written by Nana Otori and illustrated by Satsuki. Crunchyroll and Bilibili are streaming the show, with the former describing it as such:
Scarlet has put up with her fiancé’s bullying long enough. Not only is Second Prince Kyle arrogant and crude, but he suddenly called off their engagement during a ball. And if things couldn’t get any worse, he then accuses her of a crime she never committed. Fueled by betrayal, Scarlet unleashes her rage, giving the prince and his nobles a beatdown they’ll never forget.
May I Ask for One Final Thing? started as a web novel on Alphapolis in April 2018. The light novel series, which is published under the Regina Books label, began in August 2018 and has six volumes as of June 2025. There is a manga as well, available in English on Alpha Manga.
