A new key visual and main opening sequence have been unveiled for the ongoing Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse TV anime series, which will begin its second cour with the 14th episode on October 3, 2025. The anime first premiered in Japan on July 5, 2025.
The main opening theme for the anime’s second cour, highlighted in the opening sequence, is “Futari-bun” by shallm.
Meanwhile, the second cour’s new ending theme is “Shippai Shinai Menhera no Sodate-kata” by Yurina Hirate.
Takashi Naoya (Übel Blatt, Tale of Wedding Rings) is directing the anime series, with Matsuo Asami (Übel Blatt) as assistant director, Tatsuya Takahashi (Übel Blatt) as series screenwriter, and Sachiko Yasuda (My Happy Marriage [co-credit in Season 2]) as character designer. Staple Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.

The anime is based on the romantic comedy drama manga by Naru Narumi. It ran in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine from August 4, 2014 to June 4, 2015. The series later moved to Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine and resumed on November 20, 2015, where it was serialized until ending on September 20, 2023. Sixteen total tankobon volumes were released in Japan. Kodansha USA licensed the manga in 2019 for English digital release.
