The live-action Wind Breaker movie has received a main trailer, previewing plentiful melee action and the newly announced BE:FIRST theme song, “Stay Strong.”
The live-action adaptation of Satoru Nii‘s manga is arriving in Japan on November 5 JST. Koshi Mizukami is protagonist Haruka Sakura, and Kentaro Hagiwara (Tokyo Ghoul and Blue Period live-action films) is the director.
The manga started serialization on Magazine Pocket in 2021 and has 23 volumes as of September 2025. Kodansha USA describes its premise as such:
Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings—he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal—become the hero his town deserves.
Two anime seasons have aired, with the second airing as part of the Spring 2025 anime season.
