A trailer for Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 has been released, providing a look at the new batch of animated Star Wars shorts before it hits Disney+ on October 29.
Highlights include a couple of AT-ATs rising from beneath an ice shelf, the presence of cuddly and furry aliens across multiple shorts, and the black-and-white “The Duel: Payback” (the sequel to Volume 1’s “The Duel”) trying to outdo its predecessor’s umbrella lightsaber. However, the one to beat might the part where a character equips a bunch of mechanical parts to become a mecha girl with an x-wing jetpack.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 sees the anthology series returning to Japanese studios after its second season. The shorts selection for this outing includes:
• “The Duel: Payback” (directed by Takanobu Mizuno at Kamikaze Douga) — sequel to “The Duel”
• “The Lost Ones”(directed by Hitoshi Haga at Kinema Citrus) — sequel to “The Village Bride”
• “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope”(directed by Naoyoshi Shiotani at Production I.G) — sequel to “The Ninth Jedi”

Beyond the new Star Wars: Visions installment, fans of animated Star Wars will also have a spin-off limited series of “The Ninth Jedi” to look forward to in 2026. It will be presented under the Star Wars: Visions Presents banner.
