Four short character trailers have been released for the upcoming My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha: Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I’m Out for Revenge! TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 3, 2025.
The new character trailers released this week each highlight the show’s main characters, including Light, Mei, Nazuna, and Aoyuki.
Katsushi Sakurabi (Flying Witch, Lostorage incited WIXOSS, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion) is directing the anime series, with Hiroshi Onogi (Blue Archive: The Animation [co-credits], Idol Memories) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter and Yukie Suzuki (Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy) as character designer. J.C.STAFF is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:

The original fantasy light novel series is written by Meikyou Shisui and illustrated by tef. It was first published by Hobby Japan’s HJ Novels imprint on May 19, 2021 and has released 12 volumes as of April 2025. The series began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in April 2020.
J-Novel Club licensed the light novels for digital release in English under the title Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon (with the full English title listed as Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out For Revenge on My Former Party Members and the World).
A manga adaptation by Takafumi Oomae was launched in May 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for release in English.
HIDIVE will exclusively simulcast the anime series in both the U.S. and Canada, as well as select English-speaking territories such as the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. It describes the main synopsis as:
