Makoto Kudo‘s original romantic comedy manga has been serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine since December 6, 2019. Ten tankobon volumes have been released as of September 25, 2025. The manga is being released in English digitally on the Manga UP! Global app service and Comikey.

Comikey describes the main synopsis of the My Awkward Senpai manga as:
Kannawa-senpai is considered many things, but smooth is definitely not one of them. Then she meets Kamegawa, her new Kouhai. He’s cute, a little nerdy, and easy to talk to. How will this awkward Senpai be able to handle these new feelings?!
