Daisuke Hiramaki is returning to direct the third season, along with Jin Tanaka as series screenwriter and Kanna Hirayama as character designer and chief animation director. Doga Kobo is in charge of the animation production.

Hiramaki remains in the same position for season three, but without any assistant directors. Ciao Nekotomi was assistant director on the first two seasons, while Kuniyasu Nishina, who storyboarded and directed the first season’s sixth episode, joined Nekotomi in the second season.

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

  • • Takeo Otsuka as Aqua
  • • Yurie Igoma as Ruby
  • • Megumi Han as Arima Kana
  • • Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa
  • • Rumi Okubo as MEMcho

The original manga series is written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish), which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from April 23, 2020 to November 14, 2024. Yen Press licensed the manga for English release.

The first two seasons of OSHI NO KO aired in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

HIDIVE streamed both seasons of OSHI NO KO in select English-speaking countries and territories. It describes the main synopsis of the first season as:

When a pregnant young starlet appears in Gorou Amemiya’s countryside medical clinic, the doctor takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver Ai Hoshino’s child so she can make a scandal-free return to the stage. But no good deed goes unpunished, and on the eve of her delivery, he finds himself slain at the hands of Ai’s deluded stalker — and subsequently reborn as Ai’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino! The glitz and glamor of showbiz hide the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry, threatening to dull the shine of his favorite star. Can he help his new mother rise to the top of the charts? And what will he do when an unthinkable disaster strikes?
