A fourth new key visual has been unveiled for the Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex TV anime series, showcasing lead characters Marie and Kyros. The anime recently broadcasted its 12th and final episode in Japan on September 19, 2025, after first premiering on July 4, 2025.
Takayuki Kitagawa (Chiikawa Episode 106 to 115 storyboard artist and director) directed the anime series, with Masakazu Sunagawa (Cuticle Detective Inaba) as assistant director, Kenta Ihara (Blue Miburo) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, and Akiko Sato (A Condition Called Love) as character designer. LandQ Studio is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

The original romance light novel series is written by Tobirano and illustrated by Mai Murasaki (who is credited with the original character designs in the anime’s credits). It began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2019. Futabasha first published the light novels on April 15, 2020 and has released nine volumes as of August 2025, with the most recent six volumes being published as e-books. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the series for English release.
A manga adaptation by Chikage Nakakura followed on July 24, 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment also released the manga in English in print and digital format. It is also released digitally in English on Comico’s Pocket Comics website.
Crunchyroll is streaming Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex worldwide, and describes the main synopsis as:
Marie, the second daughter of a poor baron’s household, is treated like a servant by her parents. Even at Marie’s birthday party, her beautiful elder sister, Anastasia, is the star. Outside, Marie bumps into Count Kyros Granado, who falls for her at first sight. Yet, due to a misunderstanding, the Count proposes to Anastasia. After a tragic accident, Marie must marry the count instead!
