Seven new additional cast members have been announced for the upcoming Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! TV anime series during a stage presentation at this year’s KyoMAF event. The anime will premiere in Japan in 2026 after its initial release date in 2025 was delayed due to production circumstances. Crunchyroll will stream the series when it airs.

The seven new cast members joining the series (from left to right above) include:
- • Takuya Eguchi as Sou Otogiri
- • Fairouz Ai as Hifumi Kawamura
- • Yukihiro Nozuyama as Kota Takeuchi
- • Atsushi Tamaru as Ryo Mukai
- • Makoto Koichi as Yuka Hamaoka
- • Yume Maihara as Masako Okuda
- • Tsubasa Sasa as Tsukasa Omori
They join a previously announced main cast that stars Chiaki Kobayashi as Okuto Nakamura and Yuki Sakakihara as Aiki Hirose. Voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi and Junko Takeuchi have also been cast in undisclosed roles, having voiced the respective main characters in the manga’s 2021 audio drama.
Aoi Umeki (Pop Team Epic co-series director and co-character designer) is serving as director, co-scriptwriter, and character designer for the anime, with Studio Monado’s Yasuko Aoki (Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister series screenwriter and scriptwriter) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naoki Yoshibe (The Missing 8 and ChroNoiR Episode.0 director) as assistant director, and Tetsuya Tatamitani (Africa Salaryman director) as concept director. Drive is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on the Boys’ Love manga by Syundei, which was originally serialized in Akaneshinsha’s Opera magazine from December 27, 2014 to August 27, 2016. A single tankobon volume was released in May 2017. It also received a shinsouban version. The series was followed by Go For It Again, Nakamura! from 2017 to 2021, which was released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.

Seven Seas licensed the Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! manga series for release in English, describing the main premise as:
Nakamura is a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with one of his classmates–his dreamy high school classmate, Hirose. But there’s a problem: they haven’t met yet. And Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!
