A new trailer has been revealed for the Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse TV anime series, which confirmed a second consecutive cour that will begin broadcasting on October 3, 2025 and two new main theme songs. The series began airing in Japan on July 5, 2025.
The latest trailer for the series previews the second cour’s opening theme “Futari-bun” by the band shalim, while the new ending theme is “Shippai Shinai Menhera no Sodate-kata” by singer Yurina Hirate.
Takashi Naoya (Übel Blatt, Tale of Wedding Rings) is directing the anime series, with Matsuo Asami (Übel Blatt) as assistant director, Tatsuya Takahashi (Übel Blatt) as series screenwriter, and Sachiko Yasuda (My Happy Marriage [co-credit in Season 2]) as character designer. Staple Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

The anime is an adaptation of the romantic comedy drama manga by Naru Narumi. It initially debuted in Kadokawa Shoten’s Young Ace magazine on August 4, 2014 and ran until June 4, 2015. The series later moved to Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine and resumed on November 20, 2015, where it was serialized until concluding on September 20, 2023. Sixteen total tankobon volumes were released in Japan. Kodansha USA licensed the manga for English digital release in 2019.
