A special new overseas visual has been unveiled for the ongoing Scooped Up by an S-Rank Adventurer! TV anime series last week, spotlighting the protagonist Lloyd using his magic skills. The anime began streaming in Japan early on select streaming services on July 5, 2025, before broadcasting on Japanese TV on July 10, 2025.
Hiroshi Tamada (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement) is directing the anime series, with Akihiko Inari (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement) as series screenwriter, and Yuta Ito (Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement co-sub-character designer) as character designer, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Dr. Stone: New World) and Tsubasa Handa as music composers. Felix Film is in charge of the animation production for the series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The original Yusha Party o Tsuiho Sareta Shiro Madoshi, S-Rank Bokensha ni Hirowareru: Kono Shiro Madoshi ga Kikakugai Sugiru web novel was written by Sora Suigetsu on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in March 2020. Futabasha then published the light novels with new illustrations by DeeCHA on November 30, 2020. Eight volumes have been released in Japan as of June 2025, with the three most recent volumes being released exclusively as digital ebooks.
A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno was launched on Futabasha’s Gaugau Monster website on January 22, 2021. Nine tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2025.
Crunchyroll is streaming Scooped Up by an S-Rank Adventurer! worldwide, describing the main synopsis as:
“We don’t need a useless white mage.”
Lloyd is a white mage who was unexpectedly banished from the hero’s party. As he was lost and uncertain, he happened to cross paths with an S-rank adventurer party in need of a white mage, so he joined them on their quest. Little did anyone know at the time that the hero’s party would fall apart and Lloyd would rise to fame.
This is a story about an unmatched support magic user, who believes himself to be ordinary, becoming an unstoppable adventurer.
