If the Mass Production Evangelions’ appearance in The End of Evangelion wasn’t already unsettling enough, collectible manufacturer Prime 1 Studio has an upcoming Evangelion Mass Production Model statue that’s positive nightmare fuel.
As the product description says, this interpretation of the Mass Production Evas, which is based on a concept design by Josh Nizzi, is a “mechanical reimagining” and comes with design elements like panel lines and “internal mechanisms.” The tactility of the clearly mechanical sections combined with the Mass Production Eva’s trademark “grin,” now depicted with realistic-feeling teeth and gums, and the wrinkled fabric on the head results in an uncanny and terrifying appearance.

This statue accentuates their soulless, uncanny presence through concept design by Josh Nizzi. While honoring the original organic form, it incorporates intricate details such as panel lines and internal mechanisms. The white-based color scheme is complemented by metallic, muted silver and accented with a warning yellow. The purple-hued sword is imbued with a sharp tension within its delicate sculpt.
At its feet, as if descending from the sky, unfolds a crafted scene of apocalypse—collapsed truss bridge, crumbling architecture, and EVA-02 impaled and sinking into the red sea. A nightmare once witnessed returns, reborn in a new form.
The highly detailed statue recently became available for pre-order on September 2 JST and is expected to ship between December 2026 to March 2027. The regular version costs US$1,399 and comes with a Neon Genesis Evangelion-themed Base. The US$1,699 deluxe bonus version, in addition to the base, includes the following:
• Wings
• Two swappable heads, one with closed mouth and the other with an open mouth
• Two swappable right hands, one with a sword and the other with a replica of the Spear of Longinus
• One swappable head with its tongue out, labelled as a bonus part
Prime 1 Studio has previously given the Josh Nizzi treatment to other Evangelion “characters” like The 4th Angel, Evangelion Unit 13, and Eva-02.
