A second main trailer for the My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s TV anime has been released, accompanied by the reveal of the show’s October 6 JST (effectively October 7 at 1:30 AM JST) premiere.
It was also announced that BONNIE PINK‘s “Like Gravity” is the ending theme song.
My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s is based on the Overlap Bunko series written by Matsuri Akai and illustrated by Tozai, which debuted in November 2017 and will release its fifth volume on September 25, 2025 JST. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the premise as:
Oda Akira is the kind of guy who people forget is even there. His unassuming nature pays off, though, when his entire class is swept away to a fantasy world, and he slips easily into his new role as a silent assassin. Between his suspiciously high starting stats and too many details that don’t fit, Akira is sure something is wrong. My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero’s started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in January 2017. There is a manga as well.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide “excluding Asia.”
