The 22/7 – The Diary of Our Days short anime series has been updated with a ninth episode, more than seven years since Episode 8 was released in November 2018. The new, no-dialogue entry follows Miu Takigawa, whose voice actor/real-life idol counterpart Nagomi Saijo recently graduated from the 22/7 unit (the animation was shown at her graduation concert).
22/7 – The Diary of Our Days‘s Miu episode brings back director Shin Wakabayashi (Wonder Egg Priority) and character designer and animation director Yukiko Horiguchi (K-On! character designer). The unit director of the CloverWorks-produced short is Yusuke Kawakami (The Elusive Samurai assistant director, Bocchi the Rock! live performance director), and the animation producer is Shota Umehara (Bocchi the Rock!, My Dress-Up Darling Season 1).
The series’ first episode also spotlighted Miu.
22/7 is an idol project with the involvement of Sony Music and Aniplex that began activities in 2017. The unit’s lineup has evolved over the years, with 10 graduates (discounting Saijo) that include non-founding members. After Saijo’s exit, there will be eight active members.
