During Anime NYC 2025, Netflix revealed a new visual and featurette promotional video for the upcoming second season of Blue Eye Samurai. A second season was first announced in December 2023 and will be released sometime in 2026.

The new video confirms the official production of the second season, and features series creators and executive producers Amber Noizumi and Michael Green, along with executive producer and supervising director Jane Wu.
Erwin Stoff is also serving as the executive producer for the series, while Blue Spirit is the animation production company.
The first season of Blue Eye Samurai was released on Netflix on November 3, 2023 and contained six total episodes.

The first season of Blue Eye Samurai won four Primetime Emmy awards in September 2024 and six Annie awards in February 2024.
