Bâan: The Boundary of Adulthood, the anime short film created by anime YouTuber Garnt “Gigguk” Maneetapho, will premiere worldwide on Gigguk’s YouTube channel on September 20.
Gigguk also announced that there will be a launch party on his Twitch channel.
The anime follows two protagonists who “leave their birthplaces in search of a place where they truly belong.” It features the setting of Euthania, “a land rich in nature with various magical races based on South East Asian Mythology, which is connected to Japan via a warp gate.” Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture‘s Yoshimitsu Ohashi directed the anime at Studio Daisy.
It was previously announced that the anime would have an early screening event in Japan on August 24, and that the release on Gigguk’s YouTube channel would be accompanied by a behind-the-scenes documentary.
Bâan: The Boundary of Adulthood is one of the “flagship” projects under the KADOKAWA-owned “creator management and integrated marketing agency” GeeXPlus, Inc.‘s new GeeXProductions division. The others are the “3D Blender animation” Soul Mart from DillonGoo and the ongoing indie anime short series Otachan! from OtakuVS.
