Japanese rock band BAND-MAID announced on Wednesday that their newest EP, “SCOOOOOP,” will be released on October 22, 2025.
The cover art for the EP features newspapers spilling from an airship, a reference to the title of the EP itself as well as connecting this release to some of BAND-MAID’s previously released singles. This connection was mentioned during our interview with guitarist MIKU Kobato at Anime Expo 2025.
The EP will have eight tracks, including “Zen” — the opening for Winter 2025 anime ZENSHU, “Ready to Rock” — the opening for the Spring 2025 anime Rock is a Lady’s Modesty, and “What is justice?” — the opening theme for the currently airing TV anime Tougen Anki.

The band has also released a full performance video of the song “Ready to Rock” to celebrate the EP announcement. This is the first time the anime opening has been officially released in its entirety.
