The upcoming You and I Are Polar Opposites TV anime has received new cast announcements and a character visual for the relevant characters.
The show is adding Yuna Taniguchi, Konatsu Hirabayashi, and Anji Iwata to its cast lineup. The three will be playing Watanabe, Sato, and Yamada, respectively.
You and I Are Polar Opposites is set to premiere in January 2026. The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga by Kocha Agasawa, which started serialization on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ in May 2022 and ended the same day as the anime’s announcement (November 24, 2024 JST). Manga Plus describes the premise as:
Suzuki, an energetic girl who can’t help but follow the crowd, finds herself drawn to Tani, a quiet boy who can easily speak his mind. Enter: the serialization of a hit one-shot! A story for anyone who wants to enjoy love! This down-to-earth, relatable rom-com is ready to pull at your heartstrings!
The manga was originally a one-shot.
