The joint Ryoko Kui and Delicious in Dungeon exhibition experience that recently enthralled my eyes and tormented my stomach is coming to New York this year, Kadokawa World Entertainment has announced. It’ll run from October 10 to 26 at Chelsea Walls.
Here’s what the press release highlights:
• Ryoko Kui’s Art Showcase
An extensive selection of reproduced artwork, featuring not only Delicious in Dungeon, but also from her early collection —The Dragon’s School Is on Top of the Mountain (2011), Seven Little Sons of the Dragon (2012), and Terrarium in Drawer (2013).
• Creation Process Revealed
Never-before-seen rough concept sketches, an in‐depth long interview, and time‐lapse drawing videos that reveal how Kui’s illustrations come to life.
• Immersive Photo Spots
Fan-favorite photo-ops with dungeon monsters and realistic food replicas, recreated from the world of Delicious in Dungeon.

The exhibition, whose name seems to depend on the press release and location (the aforementioned press release for the Tokyo exhibition labels it the Delicious in Dungeon Labyrinth Exploration Exhibition & Ryoko Kui Exhibition, while the Malaysian exhibition I attended opted for Ryoko Kui & “Delicious in Dungeon” Exhibition), is currently running in Japan’s Kumamoto city and Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur. Beyond these locations and Tokyo, the exhibition was also hosted in Hong Kong.
Kui’s Delicious in Dungeon manga debuted in Harta in 2015 and released its 14th and final tankobon volume in December 2023. A TRIGGER-produced anime adaptation ran for two cours in 2024 and has a second season being prepared.
