Disney+ Japan has announced casting details for the characters Masato Kamiya and Mitsuko Asatani in the upcoming new Cat’s Eye anime adaptation.

Masato, who’s making his anime debut and is described as the model for City Hunter‘s Ryo Saeba, is played by Katsuyuki Konishi. Meanwhile, Mitsuko is voiced by Yoko Hikasa.

The post’s caption also mentions a September 26 JST premiere date.

Cat’s Eye is based on the manga by Tsukasa Hojo, which previously inspired two television anime seasons, a 1997 live-action film adaptation, and more. The story follows three sisters who are art thieves that steal the works of their lost father.

The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1981 to 1984 and later received a special one-shot in 1985. Eighteen tankobon volumes were originally published under the Jump Comics label.

Cat’s Eye has had crossovers with other titles like City Hunter (another Hojo creation) and Lupin the 3rd.
