A special new commemorative visual has been revealed for the ongoing second season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability. The second season began airing in Japan on July 9, 2025 and will air for 12 episodes.
The newest commemorative visual features the main protagonist Lloyd and the mysterious priest. The visual was created by the show’s animation production company, Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab, exclusively for overseas fans. It was released ahead of the second season’s seventh episode (19th overall in the series) “The Great Advent Festival,” which will stream on Crunchyroll at 9:30 AM PST on August 20, 2025.
Jin Tamamura (A Sister’s All You Need series director) is directing the anime series, with Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) as character designer and chief animation director, Yuuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director, and R.O.N as music composer.

The original light novel series is written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. It was first published by Kodansha’s Ranobe Bunko on July 2, 2020 and has released 10 volumes as of July 2025. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31, 2019.
A manga adaptation by Yosuke Kokuzawa began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app on June 27, 2020. Nineteen tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2025. Kodansha USA releases the manga series in English.
A spinoff manga by Keiri Amamiya was launched in Magazine Pocket on February 17, 2024.
Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode first season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability as it aired in Japan in 2024. It describes the main synopsis as:
The study of magic requires aptitude, effort, and the right bloodline. One sorcerer loved magic, despite lacking the bloodline and aptitude for it, and died wishing he’d spent more time studying in life.
