A main trailer for My Hero Academia Final Season has dropped, with the emphasis of the preview being the titanic clash between Izuku “Deku” Midoriya and Tomura Shigaraki.
It also previews the newly announced opening theme song “THE REVO” by PORNOGRAFFITTI.
My Hero Academia Final Season is set to premiere on October 4. It is the eighth My Hero Academia season; the first season premiered in 2016.
My Hero Academia is based on the Weekly Shonen Jump manga by Kohei Horikoshi, which ran from 2014 to 2024. Viz Media describes the manga as:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny
Aside from the TV anime, there are four anime movies, the latest being 2024’s My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next.
