A new celebratory illustration has been released for the upcoming 29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou TV anime series, spotlighting Hajime and Lilui climbing a mountain. The illustration was released to commemorate Mountain Day — a national public holiday in Japan that was first held in 2016 and celebrated this year on August 11.
A previous visual featuring Lilui in the water was released late last July in commemoration of the Marine Day public holiday in Japan, which takes place on the third Monday of every July.
Toshinori Fukushima (Duel Masters LOST: Tsuioku no Suishou and Duel Masters LOST: Gekka no Shinigamia director) is directing the anime series and serving as the series screenwriter, with Yoshihiro Nagamori (Beyblade X, Mazica Party) as the main character designer. HORNETS is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the lead voice cast members include Makoto Furukawa as Hajime Shinonome and Sayumi Suzushiro as Lilui.
The anime is based on the fantasy manga series by Ippei Nara, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on January 9, 2016 and has released 19 tankobon volumes as of May 2025.
The main premise of 29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou follows an adventurer encountering an abandoned girl who has more to her than meets the eye.
