The Sakamoto Days TV anime, currently in cour 2, has received a trailer and visual for its “JCC Exams Arc.”
The new promotional materials were accompanied by cast reveals for the JCC recommendation group members:
• Hisako Kanemoto as Nao Toramaru
• Tomoaki Maeno as Joichiro Kaji
• Tatsumaru Tachibana as Shinaya
Sakamoto Days is an adaptation of the manga by Yuto Suzuki, which began in 2020 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump and has 23 volumes as of August 2025. Viz Media describes the premise as:
Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He’s running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit…out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can’t refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
The first cour of the anime premiered in January. Netflix releases new episodes weekly.
