The animated film is directed by Kim Yong-hwan, with the animation production being handled by WEBTOON subsidiary Studio N and Studio LIco. The latter also worked on the animated trailer for the manhwa in 2021, according to Catsuka.

Your Letter was also previously screened at the 2024 Ottawa International Animation Festival.

The original manwha webtoon was written and illustrated by Hyeon A Cho. It was serialized on the Naver Webtoon platform from August 11, 2018 to October 27, 2018. A single volume collecting 12 total chapters was published in South Korea in June 2019. It was also released digitally in English on the WEBTOON online platform.

Ize Press licensed the manhwa for release in English last year, and describes the main synopsis as:

Sori Lee is hoping for a fresh start at her new school—which is easier said than done when every single thing reminds her of why she transferred. As luck would have it, an anonymous letter taped to the bottom of her desk provides a perfect distraction. Little does Sori know that she’s about to embark on the scavenger hunt of a lifetime! What starts off as simple curiosity becomes a healing journey as Sori discovers just how far a small act of kindness can go.
