A new trailer and main voice cast have been revealed for the upcoming Ugoku! Neko Mukashibanashi web anime series. The anime will begin streaming on the show’s YouTube channel starting October 15, 2025, and new episodes will debut every Wednesday.
The main cast featured in the trailer include:
- • Yoshino Aoyama as Kijitora (brown tabby cat)
- • Hiro Shimono as Chatora (orange tabby cat)
- • Kana Ueda as Shironeko (white cat)
- • Kanako Miyamoto as Mikeneko (calico cat)

Kazumi Nonaka (Hana Kappa, Mameushi-kun) is directing the web anime, with Kenichi Yamashita (MF Ghost) as scriptwriter and Narumi Shimoji (Charanpo Land no Boken) as character designer. Studio Comet is in charge of the animation production.
The anime is based on pandania’s four-panel comedy manga series, which is published by Kadokawa. Three volumes of the manga have been released so far: Neko Mukashi Banashi, Nyanto! Neko Mukashi Banashi, and Mikke! Neko Mukashi Banashi.

Ugoku! Neko Mukashibanashi features various children’s stories and folktales from around the world and asks, “What if a cat appeared in this story?”
