The official Twitter/X account for the ongoing I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability TV anime series has announced that Yoko Hikasa is joining the voice cast of the second season. Season two began airing in Japan on July 9, 2025.
Hikasa will be voicing the character Anastasia, who is a priestess that will appear in the 17th episode, which will broadcast on August 6, 2025.

Jin Tamamura (A Sister’s All You Need series director) is directing the anime series, with Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) as character designer and chief animation director, Yuuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director, and R.O.N as music composer. Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab is handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. It was first published by Kodansha’s Ranobe Bunko on July 2, 2020 and has released 10 volumes as of July 2025. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31, 2019.
A manga adaptation by Yosuke Kokuzawa began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app on June 27, 2020. Nineteen tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2025. Kodansha USA releases the manga series in English.
A spinoff manga by Keiri Amamiya was launched in Magazine Pocket on February 17, 2024.
Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode first season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability as it aired in Japan in 2024. It describes the main synopsis as:
The study of magic requires aptitude, effort, and the right bloodline. One sorcerer loved magic, despite lacking the bloodline and aptitude for it, and died wishing he’d spent more time studying in life. He reawakens as Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, with all his previous memories intact. Blessed with a strong magical bloodline, he uses his gifts to master the study of magic.
