The anime film adaptation of World War II manga Peleliu -Rakuen no Guernica- has received a teaser trailer and teaser visual.
It was also announced that the cast includes Rihito Itagaki as Hitoshi Tamaru and Tomoya Nakamura as Keisuke Yoshiki.
Peleliu -Rakuen no Guernica- is set during the Battle of Peleliu, which took place in 1944 as part of the Pacific Theater of World War II. The Hakusensha-published title by Kazuyoshi Takeda was serialized in Young Animal and has been collected into 11 main volumes, published between 2016 to 2021.
An anime adaptation was announced in 2021, but the movie format was only revealed in January 2025.
The movie is set to premiere in Japan on December 5 JST. 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the second World War.
