A Fate/Grand Order animated video celebrating the popular gacha game’s 10th anniversary has been released.

Fate/Grand Order is a mobile RPG that was first released in 2015 in Japan and later in 2017 in the United States. It’s part of the gargantuan Fate franchise and Nasuverse, and has spawned its own manga, light novels, and anime. The latter include Fate/Grand Order ‐First Order‐, Fate/Grand Order – Absolute Demonic Battlefront: Babylonia, Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram, Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Paladin; Agateram, and Fate/Grand Order – Final Singularity Grand Temple of Time: Solomon.
The original premise of the game saw the Chaldea Security Organization trying to prevent humanity’s end, with the player character journeying to various time periods and locations (more accurately, they travel to Singularities, which the wikia describes as “spaces that are not part of the regular temporal axis”) as part of its efforts. It has turn-based battles and features a large number of Servants.
In June 2023, it was reported that Fate/Grand Order had received more than 28 million downloads in Japan alone. Later that year, Sensor Tower said that it had achieved more than ~US$7 billion in worldwide revenue.
