Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter Adds 4 New Cast Members

Four new cast members are joining the voice cast of the ongoing Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter TV anime series. The series began broadcasting in Japan on July 5, 2025. 

The four new cast members include: 

• • Ayako Kawasumi as Lisa Leinster 
• • Tatsumaru Tachibana as Richard Leinster 
• • Saya Horigome as Anna 
• • Toshiya Miyata as Gerard Wainwright

They join a main voice cast that stars: 

• • Yuto Uemura as Allen 
• • Hime Sawada as Tina Howard
• • Kyoka Moriya as Eine Walker
• • Ikumi Hasegawa as Lydia Leinster
• • Inori Minase as Stella Howard
• • Ami Maeshima as Caren
• • Miho Okasaki as Lynne Leinster
• • Kana Hanazawa as Felicia Fosse

The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series, written by Riku Nanano and illustrated by cura. It was first published under Kadokawa’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint on December 20, 2018 and has released 20 volumes as of July 2025. A prequel novel was also released in the same month. 

The series began as a web novel on Kakuyomu on October 6, 2017. It also inspired a 2018 manga adaptation by Tamura Muto that has released four tankobon volumes as of February 2024. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga for release in English digitally.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter early worldwide. It is also streaming on Muse Asia and bilibili, outside of Japan. 

Crunchyroll describes the main synopsis of the series as: 

After Allen failed the court sorcerer exam, he couldn’t return home even if he wanted to. While searching for a job, an unexpected offer comes his way to be the private tutor of the duke’s daughter. Just as he lowers his guard, he faces a girl who can’t use magic at all! But what is preventing her magic from working? Allen’s unconventional lessons gently shine a light on the girl’s future.
