Four new cast members are joining the upcoming Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! TV anime series. The series will begin broadcasting in Japan in October 2025.
The four new cast all play members of Arel’s family, which include:
- • Mai Nakahara as Farah
- • Shinya Takahashi as Leon
- • Karin Isobe as Astaire
- • Yuka Iguchi as Mira
They join a main voice cast that stars Kensho Ono as Arel, Saori Hayami as Reiner, and Sumire Uesaka as Lilia.
Kaoru Yabana (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human Episodes 2, 7, 8, and 11) is directing the anime series, with Chabo Higurashi (AMAZING STRANGER series screenwriter and co-scriptwriter) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter. Studio A-CAT is in handling the animation production.
The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series, written by Shichio Kuzu and illustrated by Yumehito Ueda. It began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on November 15, 2017 and ended on May 15, 2020. Earth Star Entertainment later published the work as a light novel series on July 16, 2018 under its Earth Star Novel label, before ending on June 15, 2019. Four total volumes were released. The light novel’s Japanese title is Mushoku no Eiyuu: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattan da ga.
A manga adaptation by Akio Nanae was launched in Comic Earth Star magazine on November 10, 2018. Nine tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2025. One Peace Books licensed the manga for release in English.
