Publisher Alphapolis has become the parent company of animation studio WHITE FOX, with full control of its shares.
Alphapolis’ announcement mentions:
• An active effort to increase its investment in continuous media developments and anime adaptations of its own IP.
• Praise for WHITE FOX, with high production and technical ability cited as part of it
• The contrast between the expansion of the anime market and the dwindling quantity of anime studios with great animators and high quality production knowhow.
• That it determined that this acquisition will greatly contribute to the actualization of its animation business expansion plan, which is an important mid-term plan.
• How it foresees that acquiring WHITE FOX will help it:
— Speed up anime adaptations of Alphapolis IP
— Acquire new strata of fans, including overseas markets, through high quality animation
— Increase recognition of its works and increase brand power
Alphapolis’ titles include GATE, May I Ask for One Final Thing?, Observation Records of My Fiancée, A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai, The New Gate, Re:Monster, Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, and many more.
WHITE FOX, which was established in 2007, has produced anime like STEINS;GATE, Goblin Slayer Season 1 and Goblin Slayer: Gobin’s Crown, Tears to Tiara, Jormugand, The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Season 1, -SUPER SONICO THE ANIMATION-, and Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 1.
