Light anime label AnimationID has announced an adaptation of the isekai fantasy light novel series Potion, Waga mi o Tasukeru.

The premise involves an ordinary high school girl awakening in a another world, where she finds herself in possession of a mysterious book that allows her to create potions.

The source material is written by Akira Iwafune, illustrated by Sunaho Tobe, and published under the Hero Bunko label (AnimationID is a joint venture between the label’s owner Imagica Infos and Dai Nippon Printing). The story started in 2014 as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel before becoming a light novel series in 2015.

There is also a manga adaptation.

Thanks to AnimationID, light anime, which are akin to motion comics, have been on the rise in recent times. Last month saw the announcement of the BL light anime project BALLOON.
