Keiichi Sigsawa‘s Kino’s Journey – The Beautiful World light novel series is finally getting its 24th volume on September 10 JST, almost five years since volume 23’s release in November 2020.

The volume’s release date was revealed by KADOKAWA on July 10 JST as part of its 25th anniversary project announcement (aside from commemorating Kino’s Journey, which released its first volume on July 10, 2000 JST, it also recognizes Sigsawa’s author debut with the series). Volume 24’s release date aside, the current announcements include:

• A Kino’s Journey 25th anniversary pop up shop in Yurakucho Marui from August 16 JST to August 31 JST. Expect goods and life-sized standees featuring new artwork by Kino’s Journey illustrator Kouhaku Kuroboshi.

• A new title from Sigsawa, which will begin serialization on Dengeki Novecomi+. This new work will have a structure that consists entirely of phone conversations.

KADOKAWA has more planned, with the anniversary project to occur over the course of six months. Other initiatives will be announced later.

The premise of Kino’s Journey The Beautiful World, which is published under the Dengeki Bunko label, involves the travel experiences of the titular character and their companion, the talking motorrad Hermes. The two visit various countries, which they don’t remain in for more than three days as a rule.

Beyond the main light novel series, there are other titles and related media like the Gakuen Kino spin-off, manga, two TV anime adaptations (one premiered in 2003, the other in 2017), and video games.
