The Go For It, Nakamura! TV anime adaptation has been delayed from 2025 to 2026, with production circumstances cited as the reason.

Crunchyroll had announced that it would be streaming the show this year.

It was also announced that an advance screening event featuring the first two episodes of the anime will be held on August 24 JST.

Go For It, Nakamura! is based on the Boys’ Love manga by Syundei, which was originally serialized in Akaneshinsha’s Opera and had a single volume released in May 2017. It was followed by Go For It Again, Nakamura! (Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun) and has received a shinsouban version.

Yen Press describes the manga as:

A hilarious Boys’ Love manga about one young man’s attempts to keep it together in front of his crush by the creator of Total Eclipse of the Eternal Heart!

Nakamura is a shy boy who falls in love at first sight with one of his classmates–his dreamy high school classmate, Hirose. But there’s a problem: they haven’t met yet. And Nakamura is a total klutz who might bungle things before they even begin!

Here’s the first trailer from November 2024:
