Voice actor Yuki Sakakihara has been cast as the watchmaker Joel for the ongoing second cour of Dr. Stone: Science Future. The character will appear in the second cour’s 16th episode on July 31, 2025.The second cour overall first aired in Japan on July 10, 2025 and is expected to run for 12 episodes.
Sakakihara join a voice cast that includes:

The main staff, who also worked on the first cour, include Shuhei Matsushita (Dr. Stone Ryusei and Dr. Stone New World) as director, Kurasumi Sunayama (The Healer Who Was Banished From His Party, Is, in Fact, the Strongest) as series screenwriter, and Yuko Iwasa (returning) as character designer. TMS Entertainment is in charge of the animation production.
Dr. Stone: Science Future‘s first cour premiered in Japan on January 9, 2025 and ran for 12 episodes until March 27, 2025. It is the final season of the Dr. Stone anime adaptation, which will run for three split cours.
The first season of Dr. Stone was released in 2019, which is followed by the second season of Stone Wars in 2021. The third season, Dr. Stone: New World, began its first cour in April 2023 and the second cour in October 2023.
The anime is based on the adventure science fiction manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, which ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 6, 2017 to March 7, 2022 and released 27 total tankobon volumes. VIZ Media publishes the manga series in English.
