Gigguk & GeeXProductions’ Bâan Anime Project Opens Ticket Sales for Japanese Screening (UPDATED) featured image

GeeXPlus and its GeeXProductions division have announced that tickets for the Japan premiere of Gigguk’s anime short film Bâan -The Boundary of Adulthood- are now on sale. The showing will take place August 24, 2025 at 6:20 PM JST at the Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro in Tokyo and will feature introductory remarks from Gigguk before the screening.

Three tiers of VIP ticket packages are available for purchase from now until August 4, 2025 at 10:59 PM JST at the anime film’s official website. They are listed as follows: 

  1. 1. 11,000 yen (US$74.06, including tax): includes a ticket and commemorative poster signed by Gigguk.
  2. 2. 22,000 yen (US$148.13, including tax): includes a ticket, priority access to the theater, a commemorative poster signed by Gigguk, a tote bag, a cap and a spoon honoring the importance of shared meals in the anime.
  3. 3. 330,000 yen (US$2,221.94, including tax): includes a ticket with premium seating next to Gigguk and the short film’s director, all items from the previous tiers and a script book signed by Gigguk, Ohashi, the producer, character designer and main voice actors. Only three copies exist worldwide.  

General tickets are also now on sale alongside the VIP ticket sales until August 20, 2025 at 10:59 PM JST. Pricing for general seating is 5,500 yen (US$37.02), including tax, per ticket, and includes just the general admission ticket. 

Bâan is an 18-minute short anime created by Gigguk and directed by Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Code Geass Rozé of the Recapture, Amnesia), which includes music composed by Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss, The Apothecary Diaries). Studio Daisy is in charge of the animation production. 

Other staff include Megumi Hosaka as scriptwriter, Hanyu as character designer and general art director, Natsumi Watabe (Night World ONA) as color designer, Sato Takahara as art director, and Studio Daisy’s Marin Inai as animation director. 

During GeeXPlus’s Anime Expo panel, it was also announced that voice actors Haruna Mikawa and Shoya Ishige would voice the short’s lead characters Rin and Daichi, respectively. 

Bâan  (also stylized as Bâan -大人の彊界-) will also later be released on Gigguk’s YouTube channel, along with a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the anime.

GeeXPlus announced the launch of GeeXProductions division earlier this month during Anime Expo 2025. In addition Bâan, the company announced the production of the original 3D Blender animation project Soul Mart from DillonGoo and OtakuVS’s long-running indie anime short series Otachan!
