The release date of the Fate/EXTRA Record RPG has been pushed back to spring 2026.
The announcement’s date, July 22 JST, is also the date of the remake’s start-of-development announcement back in 2020 and the release date of the 2010 original.
It was previously planned to be released this year.

The ASOBI STORE editions, which are now available for pre-order, layer on additional freebies, such as the ASOBI STORE Super Special Edition’s special character fine graph art. Both ASOBI STORE editions include an LP soundtrack and a multi-layer acrylic block.
There are also additional freebies like a rubber key holder depicting a chibi Saber in school uniform and a character sticker poster set for those who purchase from ASOBI STORE.
The TYPE-MOON studio BB-developed Fate/EXTRA Record is a remake of the PSP dungeon RPG Fate/EXTRA, which inspired a Shaft-produced anime adaptation titled Fate/EXTRA Last Encore. Features include scenario tweaks, improved character graphics, and deck-based combat.
Fate/EXTRA‘s narrative sports a virtual world, a wish-granting “spiritron computer” that’s on the moon, and a different version of the Holy Grail War called the Moon Holy Grail War. Western publisher Ghostlight describes the original as:
Waking up in a strange virtual world with no recollection of the past, the main character finds themselves forced to fight for survival in a war they do not understand for a prize beyond value; the opportunity to have one’s wish granted. With only an enigmatic “Servant” by their side, the protagonist will have to face both friends and foes in battles to the death in order to not only gain possession of a mysterious object known as the “Holy Grail”, but also to find the answer to the most important question of all: “Who am I?”
