Japanese funk rock band Kroi has released their latest single “Method,” which serves as the opening theme for the second cour of Sakamoto Days. The single is now available on several music streaming platforms.
An official music video for “Method” was also released, which is by filmmaker Taichi Kimura and was shot using 40 iPhones arranged in a 360-degree setup inside a studio.
Additionally, Kroi will embark on the “Kroi Live Tour 2025 – HALL” tour starting this August, with performances in seven cities across Japan. The band is also set to headline “Kroi Live Tour 2026 – ARENA” next year, including shows at Osaka-jo Hall and Yoyogi National Stadium First Gymnasium. Tickets for both tours are now on sale.
The band previously contributed theme songs to various anime titles such as Under Ninja, Sand Land, Kowloon Generic Romance, and Bucchigiri?!
The second cour of Sakamoto Days began airing in Japan on July 14, 2025. Netflix is streaming the series weekly worldwide, outside of Japan.
VIZ Media publishes the Sakamoto Days manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
Taro Sakamoto was once a legendary hit man considered the greatest of all time. Bad guys feared him! Assassins revered him! But then one day he quit, got married, and had a baby. He’s now living the quiet life as the owner of a neighborhood store, but how long can Sakamoto enjoy his days of retirement before his past catches up to him?!
