A new summer seasonal visual has been unveiled for the upcoming Wash It All Away TV anime adaptation, highlighting the main heroine, Wakana Kinme. The series is set to premiere in Japan sometime in 2026.

The new summer visual shows Wakana walking in Atami Shinsui Park in Atami — a coastal city located in Shizuoka prefecture where the anime takes place.

Kenta Onishi (Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest) is directing the anime series, with Toko Machida (7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, and Azuma Tozawa as character designer. Okuruto Noboru is in charge of the animation production.

Sayumi Suzushiro is voicing the protagonist Wakana Kinme.

The anime is based on the slice of life manga series by Mitsuru Hattori (Sankarea: Undying Love creator) and was serialized in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine from July 7, 2017 to June 2, 2023. Ten tankobon volumes were released in total in Japan. It is also being released digitally on the Manga Up! app service.

Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga for release in English, and describes the main premise as:

For two years, Wakana Kinme has run a laundry service in the seaside resort town of Atami. Kinme Cleaning is a well-loved business, and Atami residents admire Wakana’s devotion to her trade. She builds a fulfilling life making friends with the locals and visiting hot springs. Although Wakana has no knowledge of her own past, her cleaning services safeguard memories imbued in customers’ precious items.
