A new key visual for the second season of the Kagaku × Boken Survival! TV anime series has been unveiled, which will begin broadcasting in Japan on the NHK Education channel, starting October 4, 2025.

The second season will explore seven survival themes, which include:
- • Water shortage
- • Mega earthquake
- • Tidal flats
- • Mountains
- • Night safari
- • Moon survival
- • Rising sea levels
The first season aired in Japan on October 5, 2024 and released a total of 21 episodes.
Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods) returns the direct the second season, with Isao Murayama (Toriko, Bakugan) as series screenwriter, Gil-bo Noh (Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal) as character designer, and Kei Yoshikawa (Love of Kill) as music composer. Gallop is handling the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast stars:

The anime is based on the long-running full-color educational manhwa series, released in Japan as Kagaku Manga Survival. The manhwa has been published since 2008 by Gomdori Co. and is created by Hyun Dong Han and Jung Wook Kim. MiraeN releases the series as a webtoon, while Asahi Shimbun Publications publishes the series in Japan. No Starch Press has released some volumes of the manhwa in English.
A previous anime film adaptation titled Jintai no Survival was released in 2020. Another anime film, Shinkai no Survival, followed in 2021. Both were produced by Toei Animation with Gallop.

NHK Cosmomedia America’s Jme TV service is streaming Kagaku × Boken Survival! series under the English title Surviving Science!, describing the main premise as:
No matter what difficulties they face, Geo, the “survival expert,” and Dia, the “survival genius,” fight to “never give up!” Together with their friends, they face a crisis with “courage” and “science”!
